Through the Viewfinder: March of the Droids 2016

Honor's community metaphor

On Saturday 19th of March, March of the Droids 2016 was hosted in Edinburgh. Companies who assisted in the sponsorship and hosting of the event this year were: XDA Developers, Honor, Amazon, Cyanogenmod, Three UK, Ideaa, Andriod BBQ and Skyscanner.

Steve Kondik started the event with his discussion of CyanogenMod and Cyanogen OS, followed by: Skyscanner, Honor, Amazon, XDA and Honor again. Presentations covered a wide range of subjects including: the development of CM13 by Steve Kondik and an explanation of how apps can be improved and further development of Skyscanner by Matteo Doni. Other presentations included a summary of Honor by Wilkin Lee, the development of apps for Amazon fire TV by Mario Viviani, an explanation of NFC implants and launch of a new range of implantable cryptographic keys by Mathew Brack and finally the expansion of community development for Honor devices by James Pearce.
