Samsung is Being Sued by a Dutch Consumer Group Over Android Updates

The Dutch Consumentenbond has filed a lawsuit against Samsung about their current update policy with Android smartphones. the group says that when buying a smartphone from Samsung, the consumer is not given enough information regarding how long they will receiving software updates from the company. They are demanding that Samsung start giving exact details about how long their devices will receive software updates.

First CM13 Snapshots Coming Soon

Android 6.0 is available for a couple of months now. Shortly after its release, the CyanogenMod team started to work on the version 13.0 of a popular ROM. According to Varun Chitre, a CM maintainer, the project will soon hit the Snapshot phase. A Snapshot is nothing less than a more stable release.

Samsung and Sony are Under Attack Over Child Labor for Smartphone Batteries

In a new report published today, Apple, Samsung and Sony are all accused of failing to do basic checks when it comes to child labor laws. The report claims that these three companies are using cobalt that is mined by children as young as 7. Amnesty International is asking that Sony, Apple and Samsung not only cease relations with these traders, but also remedy the situation.
