The Microsoft Purchase 4 is now available for purchase in India, albeit at very steep prices. The base 4GB|128GB|i5 model costs Rs. 89,990 ($1,330); the 8GB|256GB|i5 variant costs Rs. 120,990 ($1,788) while the top 8GB|256GB|i7 model will cost Rs. 144,990 ($2,143). The pricing does not include the Keyboard Cover, which is sold separately for Rs. 12,490 ($185). This puts the tablet firmly out of reach for a very large population of India.
