When you think about the best phones you can buy today, among the many expectations you might have, the ones you think of likely have OLED displays. This type of panel allows displays to be more vibrant, more colorful, but also deliver true blacks and potentially save power. As innovation has been mostly focused on smartphones for a while it’s taken some time for the OLED displays to become prominent in laptops, and even today, even many of the best laptops out there don’t have one.
But that doesn’t mean they don’t exist, or that they’re subpar in any way. Today, you can find some great laptops with OLED displays, and not only do their screens look stunning, but they’re also fantastic laptops in other ways, too. If you’re looking for the vividness of an OLED display in your next laptop, we’ve rounded up the best options you can find right now. As uncommon as they might, a lot of segments are covered here, so you have quite a bit of choice.
Navigate this article:
- Best overall: HP Spectre x360 14
- Best clamshell laptop: Dell XPS 13
- Best lightweight laptop: Samsung Galaxy Book Pro
- Best gaming laptop: Razer Blade 15 Advanced
- Best workstation: Lenovo ThinkPad T15g
- Best for creators: ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED
Best overall: HP Spectre x360 14
It should be no surprise but the HP Spectre x360 14 is one of the very best laptops you can buy today, and considering you can get it with an OLED display, of course it would make this list. Naturally, it’s great beyond its display, too.
Starting with performance, the HP Spectre x360 comes with Intel’s 11th-generation Core processors, up to an Intel Core i7-1165G7. In fact, that’s the only processor you can get it with if you want the OLED display. That’s a quad-core processor capable of boosting up to 4.7GHz, which is plenty powerful for day-to-day tasks like browsing the web. The OLED version of the laptop also includes 16GB of RAM, so you’re going to be doing pretty well in terms of multitasking. Storage options go up to a 2TB SSD, or a 1TB SSD accelerated by 32GB of Intel Optane memory. THat’s a strong combination overall.
The 13.5-inch display is, of course, phenomenal. The HP Spectre x360 14 is the first in the Spectre family to include a 3:2 aspect ratio for the display, and that extra vertical space is fantastic for productivity. You get to see more lines of text, more rows in Excel, or more UI elements in some complex apps. It’s just easier to do more this way. Plus, the OLED version comes with 3K2K resolution (3000 x 2000), and that means it’s incredibly sharp on top of looking fantastic with its color and deep blacks. Suffice it to say, you’ll have a fantastic viewing experience this way.
A potential downside of this laptop is the camera, however. To keep the bezels as small as possible, HP used a tiny 720p webcam which doesn’t capture a lot of light and thus, doesn’t look the greatest. It does support Windows Hello facial recognition, though, which is always great to have.
The design is another one of the big attractions of the Spectre lineup, and it’s no different with the Spectre x360 14. It comes in three color options – Natural Silver, Nightfall Black, and Poseidon Blue – and the latter two of those use striking dual-tone designs that really stand out from most other laptops. That, in addition to the unusual cut-off corners near the hinge, makes for a laptop that truly looks like no other. It’s also fairly thin and light, measuring just over 17mm and weighing 2.92lbs.
The port selection is solid here, though it’s missing some ports you might consider useful. It comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, which means you can connect just about anything using a Thunderbolt dock. Aside from that, you get a USB Type-A port, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader, which does cover a few bases out of the box. However, you don’t get a traditional display output like HDMI, which makes connecting external displays a bit more cumbersome. It depends on your needs, of course, but it’s worth noting.
Despite some letdowns, the Spectre x360 14 is an absolutely fantastic laptop. And if the size doesn’t suit you, there are 13-inch and 15-inch versions of the Spectre x360 that also come with AMOLED displays. These are some of HP’s best laptops, so it’s worth taking a look if you’re interested in a different size.
- The HP SPectre x360 14 is a fantastic premium laptop with a 3:2 display and a stunning dual-tone design.

Best clamshell laptop with an OLED display: Dell XPS 13
Few Windows laptops hold the same reputation as the HP Spectre x360, but the Dell XPS family is right up there, too. Dell makes some great laptops, and the XPS lineup is to clamshell laptops what the Spectre x360 family is to convertibles, and the latest XPS 13 is fantastic in many ways, including the fact that it has an OLED display.
Performance-wise, the Dell XPS 13 matches, and potentially even surpasses the HP Spectre x360. It comes with Intel’s 11th-generation Core processors, but in this case, you can go all the way up to an Intel Core i7-1195G7. This is the most recent addition to Intel’s ultramobile lineup, and it’s the first 15W processor to support boost speeds up to 5GHz, which makes it one of the fastest you can find on a Windows laptop.
In addition to that, you can get it with up to 32GB of RAM, which is more than you’ll probably ever need. You can also get up to 2TB of storage, but you’ll be limited to 16GB of RAM in that case; if you get 32GB of RAM, you can get up to 1TB of storage. Either way, you’ll have a fantastic laptop on your hands, it’s just a matter of choosing what’s most important to you.
The display on the Dell XPS 13 is also fantastic. If you choose the OLED option (which is what you’re here for), you get a 3,5K (3456 x 2160) panel, which comes in the 16:10 aspect ratio. While that’s not as tall as 3:2, it’s still taller than a typical 16:9 display, and it’s incredibly sharp at that resolution. On top of that, it supports touch input even though it’s a clamshell laptop.
Similar to the HP Spectre x360, the webcam is a letdown with the XPS 13, since it’s another tiny 720p camera, and in this case, you don’t even get facial recognition for Windows Hello. For that, you get a fingerprint reader on the power button, which is still convenient, though not quite as much.
That small camera makes room for a very compact design, however, and the Dell XPS 13 is one of the most portable laptops in that regard. The best thing about this design, however, is the way it looks. You can get it in two colors, and they’re both very unique, at least on the inside. The first uses a darker “platinum silver” color for the outer shell, but the interior uses a black woven carbon fiber pattern, which looks different from just about any other laptop. The other uses a “frost” metal exterior, but the interior is made from a white fiber glass composite that also looks stunning. Personally speaking, the white model looks the most interesting, but both feel very different from your standard laptop.
The XPS 13 does fall a little short in terms of built-in ports, especially legacy ones. You get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader. It’s true that a Thunderbolt port will let you connect just about anything using a dock, but some more potions built-in might have been appreciated for some users. It’s not completely surprising considering how thin the laptop is, however.
The Dell XPS 13 has some of the same setbacks as the HP Spectre x360, but it also excels, sometimes even more so, in other areas. It’s absolutely one of the best laptops you can buy today, and with the OLED model, you’re getting a fantastic experience.
- The Dell XPS 13 is a premium compact laptop with high-end performance and a stunning OLED display.

Best lightweight laptop with OLED display: Samsung Galaxy Book Pro
Many of us might not think of Samsung first when it comes to the best laptops out there, but with the Galaxy Book Pro, the company has created something truly stunning. It features a combination of high-end specs and an incredibly portable design that’s just impressive.
Performance-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro comes with the latest Intel processors, up to an Intel Core i7-1165G7, which is still a very powerful ultramobile CPU with Intel Iris Xe graphics. You can also get it with up to 16GB of RAM (for the 15-inch model) and 512GB of SSD storage. That’s a fairly premium combination of specs that’s going to get you great overall performance, especially if you get the 16GB of RAM.
One of the things that makes the Galaxy Book Pro great is that the AMOLED display isn’t an upgrade option or limited to a specific configuration – it’s the standard across the board. You’re always going to get an AMOLED display, and in this case, it’s a Full HD panel. Most premium laptops only give you OLED options in very high resolutions, which drives up the price. If you want an AMOLED display without paying an exorbitant amount of money, the Galaxy Book Pro lets you do that. However, being a Full HD panel might be disappointing to some and you can’t upgrade beyond that.
Once again, the webcam above the display is just 720p, and it should be clear by now that even premium laptops don’t often go beyond that. There’s also no Windows Hello facial recognition, though you do get a fingerprint reader for logging in.
Another major selling point for the Galaxy Book Pro is its design, which is incredibly portable. The 13.3-inch Galaxy Book Pro measures a mere 11.18mm in thickness, which is incredibly thin, and it weighs just 1.92lbs, making it the lightest laptop on this list. Even if you take the 15.6-inch version, it’s just 11.68mm thin and weighs 2.31lbs. It’s truly impressive how thin and light this laptop is, and if you want to carry it around all day, there’s no better option than this in terms of portability.
The port selection is also not as bad as the thinness may lead you to believe. You get one Thunderbolt 4 port, one regular USB Type-C port, USB Type-A, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader. There’s still no HDMI output, which is a bummer, but at least you get USB Type-A to support some older peripherals if you need them. On the topic of connectivity, it’s worth mentioning that Samsung laptops come with some features like Quick Share that may be useful if you already have a Samsung phone.
Samsung doesn’t make as many laptops as many of the most prominent companies, but devices like the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro prove that when the company makes one, it’s fantastic. This is one of the best laptops you can buy today, especially if you want an OLED display.
- The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro is an incredibly thin and light laptop with high-end specs and a Full HD AMOLED display.

Best OLED gaming laptop: Razer Blade 15 Advanced
Razer is one of the most popular brands among gamers, and laptops like the Razer Blade 15 Advanced make it apparent why that’s the case. This is a sleek, yet powerful gaming machine, and of course, it comes with an OLED display.
Let’s start by taking a look at performance, as the Razer Blade 15 Advanced is the most distinct from the rest of this list. It does come with Intel’s 11th-generation processors, but instead of 15W processors, they’re 45W models. The OLED version specifically comes with an Intel Core i9-11900H, which is a very powerful 8-core, 16-thread CPU that can boost up to 4.8GHz. That already gives you all the performance you could need for gaming and productivity, but you also get an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU with 16GB of memory and 105W of power, which means you can run the latest games without much of an issue.
On top of that, you get 32GB of DDR4 RAM (which you can upgrade later on) and a 1TB SSD, plus an empty M.2 slot if you want to expand your storage later. That’s a fantastic combination of specs and upgradability that will not leave you wanting more. That’s also the only combination available if you choose the OLED version of the laptop.
That OLED display is incredibly sharp, too, coming in at 4K resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Games and movies tend to be designed for wider displays, so it makes sense why it’s not using a taller aspect ratio, as this is the ideal form factor for that kind of content. On top of that, this display supports HDR, it covers 100% of DCI-P3, and it has a 1MS response time, making it ideal for gaming, content consumption, and even content creation. It even supports touch, something you don’t see often in gaming laptops.
And that’s not all the good news: the Razer Blade 15 Advanced is also the first laptop on this list to pack a 1080p webcam, making it potentially one of the best for video calls, but also for things like streaming, which is a likely use case for this laptop. Plus, it supports Windows Hello facial recognition, which is a big plus.
Considering everything it packs in, the Razer Blade 15 Advanced is still fairly portable. It measures just under 17mm in thickness, and it weighs 4.4lbs. Obviously. it’s bigger and much heavier than the previous laptops on this list, but it’s obviously much more powerful, too.
It packs a ton of ports, too. You get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, three USB Type-A ports, a full-size SD card reader, and HDMI 2.1, which covers all the needs you might have. Whether it’s legacy peripherals, displays, or docks, you can connect just about anything here. With everything else that’s packed into this chassis, it makes this laptop all the more impressive.
If you want a lot of power and a stunning OLED display, the Razer Blade 15 Advanced is one of your best options. The biggest downside is its price, which is a result of the restrictive configuration options Razer offers. If you can afford it, though, it’s fantastic.
- The Razer Blade 15 Advanced is a powerful and compact gaming laptop with tons of connectivity options and a 4K OLED display.

Also great: Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED
If you want a different take on a gaming laptop, the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED is another fantastic choice, though it has strengths and weaknesses in different areas compared to the Razer Blade 15 Advanced.
The first advantages have to do with performance because the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED actually gives you some configuration options. You can get it with an Intel Core i7-11800H and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, or go up to an Intel Core i9-11980HK and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080. Either way, you’re getting a very powerful laptop, and the higher-end tier has an even faster CPU than the Razer Blade 15, though the GPU is about the same. It’s worth noting that the GeForce RTX 3080 GPU can come with 8GB of memory instead of 16GB, which is a downside of this laptop. You can also get up to 1.5TB of SSD storage and 32GB of RAM, which is more than you’ll probably ever need (though you can upgrade it later).
Having a lower configuration option available is a big deal, though, because it makes the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED much more affordable if you just want a more standard gaming laptop with an OLED display. You can currently find the base model for under $1,500, less than half of the Razer Blade 15’s price.
The display on the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED is fantastic, and it’s standard across the different models. It’s a 4K OLED display made by Samsung, and it comes with DisplayHDR 400 certification, 100% coverage of DCI-P3, and rated color accuracy of Delta E < 1, making this a fantastic option for content creators. It’s also PANTONE Validated and factory calibrated, so you’re going to get a stunning visual experience on this display, maybe more so than any other laptop on this list.
One area where the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED falls flat is the webcam. For one thing, it’s just 720p, but the worst thing about it is that it’s below the display. It’s actually on the keyboard deck, right under the display hinge, and that means the camera is going to be pointing upwards at an unflattering angle. If you plan on streaming or taking video calls often, you’ll really want an external webcam. Of course, there’s also no facial recognition support, but you do have a fingerprint sensor for Windows Hello.
Design-wise, the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED looks modern enough, but it’s not nearly as portable as the Razer Blade 15 OLED. It’s about 21mm thick, and the weight starts at 5.07lbs, so portability won’t be on the same level as Razer’s model. In exchange for that, you get a healthy supply of ports, including on Thunderbolt port, three USB Type-A ports, HDMI, mini DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet, a headphone jack, and a UHS-II SD card reader. That’s a lot, and the inclusion of Ethernet might be a big deal, especially if you’re gaming online and you want the lowest latency possible.
This is a powerful laptop with an absolutely stunning OLED display, a lot of ports, and plenty of power for your more demanding tasks. It makes some sacrifices compared to the Blade 15 Advanced, but depending on your needs and budget, this might be the better option.
- The Gugabyte Aero 15 OLED has a fantastic color-accurate OLED display and powerful specs for gaming and content creation.

Best workstation with an OLED display: Lenovo ThinkPad T15g
If you’re more of a business user who needs tons of power, but you still want a beautiful OLED display, the Lenovo ThinkPad T15g is a powerful mobile workstation that will handle just about anything you can throw at it.
The ThinkPad T15g Gen 2 comes in a few configurations, but if you want the OLED display, you only get one option. This model includes an Intel Xeon W-11855M processor, a CPU specifically meant for workstations, with 8 cores and 16 threads, capable of boosting all the way up to 4.9GHz, making this a very fast laptop overall. This model also comes with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q, so you can handle some intensive graphic workloads as well. The ThinkPad T15g also comes with 32GB of ECC memory, and a 1TB SSD out of the box, but it has four SODIMM slots for up to 128GB of RAM, and three M.2 slots for storage. You can go all-out with this laptop after the fact.
The display is a 15.6-inch panel, and of course, it’s using OLED. This is a 4K panel with a 16:9 aspect ratio, which some might find disappointing for a business laptop, but it does support HDR and touch input, which is nice to see. It also covers 100% of DCI-P3, so it should be a solid choice for color-sensitive work. Despite the somewhat large bezels, the webcam above the display is still 72p, but it does support Windows Hello facial recognition. There’s also a fingerprint sensor if you prefer that.
Being that it’s a mobile workstation, the Lenovo ThinkPad T15g is far from the most portable laptop out there, and it’s not really meant to be used while traveling. It’s very thick – between 24mm and 31mm – and the weight starts at a whopping 6.32lbs. This is truly meant to be used in an office, and you can take it to another office easily, but you’re not supposed to use it on a train or in a coffee shop or anything like that. The laptop also has typical ThinkPad design elements, like red accents and the pointing stick on the keyboard, so it’s going to feel familiar for long-time business users.
That large size makes way for tons of ports and connectivity options, though. You get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB Type-C port with DisplayPort and power delivery, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI, 2.5Gb Ethernet, an SD card reader, a Smart Card reader, a nano-SIM slot, and a headphone jack. And yes, that nano-SIM slot does mean you can add 4G connectivity, meaning you can stay connected to the internet even if you don’t have a trustworthy Wi-Fi connection nearby.
All in all, the Lenovo ThinkPad T15g obviously isn’t for everyone, but it’s an incredibly powerful laptop. As far as business laptops go, it’s one of the best options you’ll find with an OLED display.
- The Lenovo ThinkPad T15g Gen 2 is a powerful mobile workstation with RTX graphics and a 4K OLED display.

Best for creators: ASUS ROG Zephyrus Pro Duo 15 OLED
Finally, we have one of the most unique laptops you can buy today. The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED is not only powerful, but it packs one of the most interesting features you’ll find on any laptop – a second screen on the keyboard deck.
The main display is a 15.6-inch OLED panel, and it comes in at 4K resolution, so it’s already both vibrant and sharp. It’s also a PANTONE Validated display, it covers 100% of DCI-P3, reaches brightness up to 550 nits with DisplayHDR 500 certification, and it supports touch. It’s a fantastic display for content consumption and creation, but it’s made even more special by what’s just below it.
The keyboard deck houses a second screen that’s just as wide as the main display (and has the same horizontal resolution). The second screen lifts up when you open the laptop, so it’s at the right angle when you’re looking at the laptop normally. You can use the second screen for intuitive controls in some content creation apps like Premiere Pro or Photoshop, but you can also put other apps on it for whatever use cases you may have. For example, you could be watching a movie on the main screen and using the second screen to message someone. It’s a versatile setup you don’t see anywhere else.
Of course, having a big screen on the keyboard deck has some implications for the design. The keyboard is pushed off to the left, with a touchpad on the right side of the laptop for controlling the mouse. The touchpad can also be turned into a virtual number pad whenever you need it, and if you want, the second screen can also be used as an extra-large touchpad. You still get a decent supply of ports, though, including two Thunderbolt 3 ports, one USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and a headphone jack, which covers all the basics you might need. It’s also worth noting that the camera here is 720p, but it does support Windows Hello facial recognition, which is great to see.
Having all of that does make this a slightly bulky laptop, but it could be worse. It measures 21.5mm in thickness and weighs 5.16lbs, so it’s not something you want to carry around all day, but you can take it to the office and back home if you need to work in different places.
Rounding things out, there’s performance, and the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED is a powerful machine, using 10th-generation Intel processors up to an Intel Core i9-10980HK. That’s from the previous generation of Intel processors, and an upgraded version should be on the way soon, so this is a case where you might want to wait for the refresh. However, the current model already includes a GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD, so you’re definitely getting a powerful machine either way.
The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED is one of the most interesting laptops you can buy today, and if you’re a content creator, it’s one of the best.
- The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED has a sharp 4K display, plus a secondary screen on the keyboard deck to increase productivity. It's also packing powerful specs.

Those are what we’d consider the best laptops with OLED displays that you can buy today. All of these are great choices, but we gave the best overall spot to the HP Spectre x360 due to also having a stunning convertible design and also being the one most people would be happy with. Other laptops on this list excel at more specific things, and they might just be your favorite.
